Review: Great for moisturizing African-American Hair

I know many people us this product primarily on the skin; however, I use it on my young daughter's hair. She has very dry hair, and moisturizers for adults were too harsh and caused skin irritation. I use it daily on her hair at night as a moisturizer prior to braiding it. It has truly transformed her hair. Several people who are familiar with her pre-shea butter hair ask me what I'm putting on her hair. They can't believe the transformation. Review: Great product!

I am so glad I discovered this shea butter!! I bought 2 pounds for less than $ 20. It is great for the skin, I use it every night as an anti-wrinkle cream on my face and after each shower for my whole body.I use it for my 1 year old as well after bath and as a diaper rush cream. The smell doesn't bother me.
I am thinking of throwing away the rest of my lotions, too many chemicals in them.
I will be back to buy some more!!!!

I bought both the gold and the white shea butter. I don't find the scent of the gold to be objectionalble at all, in fact I like it, and I'm the first one in any group to complain about the smell of something. It's a great moisturizer, although I had to get past the crumbled-cheese texture, I consoled myself that there weren't any petroleum byproducts to emulsify it. My only problem occurred when my dog devoured the whole 8-oz tub of the gold shortly after I got it. But she never had any GI problems after that, like I would have expected, which I guess vouches for its purity! Review: Great stuff.

I have been using this for a couple of months to help the skin on my shins. Last year, I walked through a bush that I was highly allergic to (I didn't know that at the time) and I ended up with huge rashes/hives on my legs and they got infected, etc. After letting them heal and taking an antibiotic to clear up the infection, I have been trying various things to get the few spots left on my shins to lighten up. This shea butter, combined with some licorice extract, has been helping to fade the spots pretty quickly. I think the shea butter is pretty heavy and thick, but if you need a lot of moisturizing, then it will be perfect for you.
There are two disadvantages, though. Make sure to take off all surrounding clothing because it will turn them yellow until you wash them again (I got it on my socks a few times). Another thing is the smell, a lot of people don't like it. I'm not really a fan of the smell, either. But if you put a couple of drops of lavender oil (or another oil that you like), then you can solve that issue.
