Review: GREAT smell, cleans without chemicals

I totally disagree with another reviewer about the smell -- I guess it's a personal thing. I really like the smell, it smells like a spicy orange to me. I got a free sample of this product and really liked how it cleaned as well. I have an oily T-zone and aging skin overall. This left my skin feeling very clean, cleaner than I can remember any other cleanser making it feel. But it doesn't feel dry at all. I plan to buy it now that my sample is used up. First, let me say that I really love Arcona's Gentle Solution PM Repair, so I was hopeful when I ordered this soap. Here are the things I dislike about it:
* it smells medicinal
* it is very drying and leaves my skin feeling tight
* it has all the downsides of a bar -- wet storage, some gelatinous consistency, sticks to the container.

Arcona changed my life. At age 30, cystic acne (and the occassional boil on my jawline) was really chipping away at my self-image. In 2007, I was in Seattle and got a facial at Gene Juarez and I was introduced to the Arcona product line. Two months on the 5 step for problem skin and the sky opened up. After two diligent years using the product, I am now using the 5 step for normal skin. Normal skin! After a teenage and adult life of chronic acne, I feel as though this product was sent down directly from heaven.
But these things take time... miracles don't happen overnight. I changed my diet a bit and use a different makeup. Just give Arcona two months (they have a trial/travel kit) and give them a chance to change YOUR skin. I will use Arcona for life.
(Not to mention that there are no preservatives and everything smells so good that you want to eat it.)

This soap works pretty well, but the smell is terrible!
I love Arcona products but prefer some of their other products over this cleanser.
I love the Raspberry acne bar cleaner!!!!
