Having thick dry hair, hair gel did not give me the manageability that I needed. I switched to Crew Pomade which an improvement was but found it to be a little too greasy for my taste. I came across American Crew Fiber hair cream and found it helped my hair retain moisture without being greasy. It does not make your hair harden but lets you style it in any way you like having a firm to medium hold depending on the humidity. After checking the local retail stores, Amazon is definitely the best price which is at least 10 dollars cheaper per 3 oz container.
