In the item description it states item weight is 12.8oz. the true weight is 8oz. I brought the item because it stated 12.8oz and figuring the cost per ounce vs another site's pricing. I was very disappointed because I brought several bottles after figuring out the cost and thought it was a better value. IT WAS NOT. I will not buy from this company again. Medicines that I take for my disabilities severely drys my skin. My physician suggested two actions: a non soap body wash, and ammonium lactate lotion. After a very long search I found this ammonium lactate, alpha hydrate lotion by Amlactin. The physician approved this choice.
This lotion is not a typical lotion as it contains cetyl alcohol, which instead of a dying agent actually protects the skin from moisture loss, and lactic acid (or milk acid) which increases the amount of water in the skin, making the skin softer and more pliable.
This product applies smoothly and is easy to work into the skin. When applied it does not clog the pores. With steady use it even softens calluses and eliminates dry scaly skin.
My skin is no longer dry and rough. Most of my calluses are gone. I am seldom bothered by skin that itches. I highly recommend this product.
