I've owned the Andis T-Edjer II for over 3 years now. My overall assessment is that it is better than any other clipper of this type that I've tried. I seeked out a professional grade trimmer as I was frustrated with getting the garden variety trimmers from Wal-Mart, CVS, etc. and had them die or become useless in less than a year.
The good news: This trimmer initially performed very well. It is precise, powerful, and never had an issue with the charge not lasting as long as I needed it to. Further, it lasted almost 2.5 years without losing any of the above characteristics.
The bad news: After 2.5 years, the battery slowly started losing it's capacity. Initially, a charge would last close to the amount of time I needed it to, but now that I am 3+ years in, it has become unusable.
The really bad news: For a $60 trimmer I would expect a replaceable battery. My trimmer is like new right now and the only issue is the battery which no longer holds a charge. I will now have to buy a completely new trimmer instead of swapping out a battery pack for $10-$20. Not a great design.
The flip side is that it lasted for most of 3+ years as an effective clipper. Which isn't bad. I will likely buy another of the exact same since I haven't found anything with a better quality or battery life out there.
