Review: Use it sparingly for straight hair

I have thick but nearly pin straight hair and I was convinced this stuff wouldn't do anything for me, but I was really wrong! Thank god too cause I paid like $[...] bucks for it in a salon. I normally wouldn't buy anything a hairdresser tries to sell me cause salon prices are ridiculous, but I watched her use a little of the Brilliant pomade by Aveda and was really impressed with the way it tamed and held together my new bangs.
That was over 3 years ago and I still have the same little tub of Brilliant that I use sparingly on my now very long hair with no bangs- and it still works great. I still have about a 1/3 of the tub left! This stuff really lasted for me cause I used it lightly. I apply it to my damp hair now and then let it air dry or blow it dry and it gives a better "put together" look for me.
As for the smell, I'm kind of addicted to it! Hahah it's one of those smells you can't describe but you like it, maybe even when you shouldn't- like gasoline, rubber tires, and permanent marker LOL! By no means am I saying this product smells like any of those things, but it's just a weird smell that my friends and I oddly like. It doesn't really smell like that in your hair though, so don't worry too much.

I was attempting to order Aveda Brilliant Anti-Humectant Pomade, but received Aveda Brilliant Humectant Pomade. The packaging is so similiar. Did not realize until I opened product that I had the wrong item. Either you sent the wrong item or I inadverantly ordered the wrong one because of packaging. I was being very careful to follow every word... so I wonder. ... does Aveda srill make the anti-Humectant Pomade. I am stuck with the wrong item now that I opened the jar. At any rate, I am not a happy customer with a product that will not meet my needs plus I am minus the $22.53 amount spent.

This stuff is great! I have been using it for years. Helps with frizzy, dry, fly-away hair. Emulsify in hands and smooth over dry hair. Will not make hair "hard or crunchy". Less stores around that sell Aveda, happy to know I can find it online. It's a must have! I use whether or not I am leaving hair curly or have used round brush. Highly recommend!! Can't say enough about this product. Awesome :) Review: great product but took too long to get

the product came in time! I don't like how it makes your hair real hard at times. I do think it's great for holding those hard edges on kinky hair.
