I visit my children in the US annually and have always had problems with my daughter's hairdryer - burning and breaking the ends. She has really short hair and doesn't bother with any hairdryers at this stage.
This year I decided to break out and purchase a decent dryer for the 3 months! I'm relatively happy - I should be, considering the price when I convert to my currency - it's lighter than mine at home, but as powerful, although it works really well on my medium length hair without scorching and burning ends. Sadly, I can't take it home with me, as we use 240V in South Africa, as opposed to your 110V - however, I'll return next year again, knowing that I have a good quality hairdryer waiting for me!
