Review: Best natural sunscreen

I have been trying different natural sunscreens for years and this is by far the best I have found. It has the best rating as far as carcinogenic, toxic chemical, it spreads on much better than California Baby (which contains parabens), it does not attract insects as some others I have tried do, and it works! I used it all day on myself to test it out and no burn at all. My baby has used it with no reaction or problem as well. I bought three more for myself and ordered some for my father whose eyes burn with every sunscreen but this one. Great product, I will be using it for years to come. We're sticklers about making sure our kids aren't exposed to unnecessary chemicals. We used the EWG 2010 sunscreen guide to identify sunscreens with low toxins, then cross-referenced with Amazon to find something we could easily get online. This fit the bill, and of the sunscreens we've tried, is the least greasy and easiest to put on. We order it in bulk at the beginning of the summer now! Review: Best sunscreen ever!

I love this sunscreen. It smells great and makes your skin soft. If you're outside and sweat a lot, it doesn't sting your eyes. And according to the Environmental Working Group, it's one of the very top sunscreens in a test that measures both how well it screens against the sun and how safe it is. Check it out. http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/special/sunscreens2008/findyoursunscreen.php) I think the negative reviews on here are because people didn't use it correctly. You only need to put a little bit on. As your skin warms it up, it becomes easy to spread around. If you look ghostly after you put it on, or it soils your clothing, that's because you are putting far too much on. In my opinion, this is a bonus of this product: you only need a little bit, so a tube lasts a lot longer than most. Badger sunscreen is the best. Review: Chemical free yay!

I like this sunblock, though I recently found out with my last purchase that they changed the formula and took out some of the essential oils I really really liked in the original :( this is why it is getting 4 stars instead of 5 I am not sure why they took ones like Ylang Ylang and Blue Tansy out, those do not cause skin issues on sensitivity as far as I know. I feel like some of those essential oils actually helped to insure the sunblock would not cause breakouts on people prone to breaking out. I know for me it helped!
I loved the original formulation it was great and smelled great. I usually put this sunblock on and then put a light fair color powder over it to help offset the wet or white look it may leave and I had been getting many complements on my skin! I even had a friend comment on how lovely it smelled because of the lavender and Ylang Ylang. I am not sure if the new version that has the essential oils taken out will have the same effect as I only started using it.
I almost feel like I should go out and find those essential oils that they took out and add it to this new version sunblock to have the same effect it did before.
All in all I can only comment so far on the original version, and I loved it. I wish I could have bought more of the original formulation had I known they were going to change it :(
If you want a sunblock for your face that does not use chemicals I would go for this one, and if you feel like it is too white or greasy for you then put powder on it after you apply it. :)
Review: Doesn't Work - unless your willing to look like a White Monster

I've been taking care of my skin for years and using sunscreen regularly. I also care about looking good. This sunscreen in INCAPABLE of both protecting your skin and allowing you to look good at the same time. In order for the stuff to work properly, you have to smear large amounts of it all over yourself. Not only will you smell funny, but you'll look like a white ghost with visible chunks of white chemicals on your face blocking the sun.
In the past, I have used other products, including Kiss My Face. They do a better job of sinking into the skin and becoming unnoticeable and ALSO protecting your skin. So you can actually go out and look like a normal human being while your getting sun protection.
With this product, it will not work if you only use it sparingly, like some of the other products. You pretty much have to shellack yourself with big gobs of it, enough for you to look like a character from a horror movie, before you get protection from the sun. It can't realistically be used on a daily basis. Maybe it works great for a camping trip, or a sporting event if you don't care about looking good.
