Review: Great but Greasy

I have long struggled to find the perfect sunscreen for my fair skin. After extensive and tiring research I thought I'd give Badger Sunscreen with SPF 30 a try and I'm so glad I did.
Smell: The smell is very mild. It doesn't smell like a typical sunscreen, which is a good thing for me. I work with kids and if I smell like sunscreen it is very distracting to them.
Texture: This stuff is thick, almost like toothpaste. It is easy to squeeze out of the tube and goes on the skin smoothly.
Application: You must work this sunscreen onto your skin otherwise you will be left with a ghostly, bluish hue. I put this on my daughter who is quite a bit darker than me and I had to make sure to rub it in completely. Come to think of it, this product might be best for those with light skin.
Efficacy: This product works great! It is important to use a sunscreen that provides both UVA and UVB protection and Badger Sunscreen does just that. I walked my dog on a bright, sunny day for 2.5 hours and for the first time ever I did not burn. That's enough evidence for me:)

Work's great, all natural, and the scent is natural too. Company is top notch, I sent an email to them about a vendor listed on their website not carrying the sunscreen and received a very pleasant email and they even offered me a tube. Very nice people. All of the companies products are 'green' and only go up to 2 on the Skin Deep Cosmetics Database website. Highly recommended product too, make sure you kneed the tube like it says before you use it. After showering and scrubbing off my skin felt moisturized... good stuff! Review: Great concept... Difficult to actually apply!

I am a big animal lover. For years I have hoped that someone would design a sunscreen product for our furry forest friends. So, naturally, when I discovered Badger Sunscreen SPF 30 my heart soared! I picked up a case of this stuff and headed straight out to the nearest forest determined to do my part in protecting our local badger population from the ravaging effects of the sun.
It wasn't long until I ran across my first badger, she was sleeping contentedly on a rock while soaking up the warmth of the midday sun... 3 of her baby badger cubs napping nearby.
"Poor simple creatures," I thought to myself as I popped open a tube of the Badger Sunscreen SPF 30 and quietly crept towards them so as not to disturb their nap.
"Look at them laying there oblivious to the harmful UVA/UVB rays. If I can help just a few..." I squirted a generous portion from the tube onto the nearest badger cub. The tube made that faux-farting noise that sunscreen tubes make when you squeeze them. Naturally, I burst out in a fit of uncontrollable laughter at the sound as I always do. This apparently startled the badger mother who clearly misinterpreted my benevolent intentions.
Next week I will be completing my final round of painful rabies shots. For those of you who aren't familiar with the treatment, it involves a 3 session series of 20-30 painful shots administered around the bite wound location. Out of modesty, I won't mention my exact bite wound location, but suffice it to say that it is just north of my scrotum.
I'm giving the Badger Sunscreen SPF 30 3 stars, because I still think it's a noble idea... to take care of God's creatures who have no laboratories, no access to investment capital, and an insufficient knowledge of chemistry that would allow them to manufacture their own sunscreen products. I think the product would be better if it came with some protective gear... heavy gloves, possibly an athletic cup. And if the engineers could find a way to eliminate that hilarious farting noise.

This is some of the best stuff on the market as we have researched/bought quite a bit having four boys. This stuff is a bit thick but it sure does the job. Review: Great for babies under 6 months!!

I was very impressed with this product. I too am in the process of switching over everything in the house to organic and safe for baby so this product is great. I found the reviews on safemama helpful. And if anyone is looking for products that are safe from baby or themselves this is a great website, along with the cosmeticdatabase website. The only thing I would have to disagree with is that this sunblock does not go on like toothpaste as many reviews have stated. Mine went on like butter and I am very happy for that seeing that my five month old is a squirmer. Love it!!
