Since I no longer lay in the tanning bed or go outside without my spf, Im always looking for the latest greatest tan in a bottle. I've tried several, last summer I purchased Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel. Although decent, Im always looking for something better, and cheaper too. After doing a search on Amazon, I came across Bare Escentuals Faux Tan and decided to give it a try after reading the almost all positive reviews. However after using once on my face and neck, Im already looking for something else. The color looked like baby poop and it dried that color extremely fast. Most self tanners appear over time, but this one dried almost instantly that same nasty color that came out of the bottle. I followed the directions, using an spf on my hands before applying to prevent my palms from absorbing the color, but they still turned orange. I decided to give it another go a couple days later but the color it is when you first apply it is so horrifying, it looked like i just gave myself a mud facial, i instantly washed it off. I have used it on other parts of my body (arms, legs) and it did appear more natural. I will not be using it on my face again.
