The hype for Bare Minerals was how natural it looked. I do not agree. I think it is extremely heavy looking and even putting it on with a light hand - it did no better. If you have really poor skin you are trying to cover I would suggest it, but if you are looking for something that looks more natural just as a basic light coverage - Bare Minerals is not the one for you. I love bare minerals foundation and regular mineral veil but this is horrible. It is very chalky when you put it on. The dust made me caugh everytime. Just stick with the original! Review: Not for the extra sensitive...........

I really wanted to like this product and I purchased the powder, mineral veil and kabuki brush as I was advised to do. The application was simple and looked pretty good (although I must admit any dry areas, particularly around the bridge of my nose and eyebrow region was highlighted), I can see that this would really work well for oily skin. BUT.....after 60 minutes or so I wanted to scratch my face off and wash everything away. It did not dawn on me that it was the make-up and I had assumed that it was just the humidity! After repeating the process every day for about 10 days I then realised the common denominator and that I was trul allergic to this product. I switched to Philosophy The Supernatural Airbrushed canvas and LOVE it. Thoroughly recommend buying that one - it looks MUCH better than Bare Minerals and I had none of the reaction experienced with Bare Minerals. Review: AWSOME MAKE UP!

Yesterday I tossed all my Bare Escentuals products - mineral veils, blushes, eyeshadows - probably hundreds of dollars worth of stuff. I am sick of the mess. Too much product gets on top of the filter if you don't keep these pots upright and its impossible to shake it back down. Most of my eye shadows and brow products don't even have filters. It is way too easy to spill and I have a huge brown stain on the carpet under my dressing table to prove it. I switched to Laura Geller's baked products Laura Geller Baked Basics ($63 Value). I get a much more controlled application and her brushes are much better.
