I finally realized that there are just some things you shouldn't skimp on, moneywise, make-up being one of them. So, I set off on a quest to find good quality make-up, trying a number of "starter kits". I have since discovered ULTA, which has make-up brands I've never heard of, many of which I have since fell in love with. This light Bare Escentuals is a good deal based on what you get versus what you pay. It creates a smooth, clean finish evening out your completion while covering any blemishes. The problem I had with the light or fair kit is that some of the colors were too dark to be used. On the bright side, you get a good education as to the kind of make-up offered by Bare Escentuals and some high quality brushes. Review: Great deal

I have tried the imposters of mineral makeup, but Bare Escentuals is the best. The get started kit is a great value and comes with full written instructions on each product as well as a "how to" DVD so you can't go wrong. I received as a bonus with this kit a product called Prime Time that is applied before the makeup. It is truly amazing and I can't imagine every applying makeup again without it. Another plus is that a little goes a long way and does provide the full coverage without feeling like you're wearing heavy makeup. Great product, but wish that they would keep only "light" colored products in the box/package that they sell as "light". The products that they sent are great, but why would they include a "medium" foundation as part of the light skin package... Makes no sense, and gave me some product that I can't use.. Review: Hooray!

Price was a bit expensive, as it is with this brand. But my goodness, I am a believer. Worth it. Covers up flawlessly, even on my red-dotted face. Bare Minerals is the bee's knees.
