I am fair complected, with sensitive skin. As a cosmetic junkie who is dealing with the beginnings of aging skin and as a gal with extremely sensitive skin, I thought I'd get on the bandwagon with the Bare Minerals Starter kit and finally see what all this fuss was about. I was sure sorry I gave in! This makeup is clearly not for people who have any imperfections on their skin! I have very fine wrinkles on my forehead and around my eyes, and this makeup REALLY clings to them. I tried the primer stuff before applying the powders, but I found that over the duration of the day the primer made no difference in my skin's appearance. My barely-there wrinkles became visibly-there wrinkles. My tiny little stress pimples were not covered at all. Also, the makeup didn't seem to bother my skin until I started perspiring a bit. Then the makeup really itched my face like it was too dry, or like when you put too much powder on and your skin can't breathe. I had to go wash my face and apply anew.
I'm quite experienced with all different kinds of makeup, as my mother started in the beauty industry when I was just a girl, but the application for this stuff takes forever with the measuring out into the lid, swirl, buff, tap, then you can actually put it on. I HATE this product, and am glad I didn't pay full price for it. Oh, and the brushes are really cheap! I had brush hairs on me after every application. I'll stick with what I know from now on. Don't buy these products unless you have perfect skin and a lot of time to get ready each day.

I bought this product in the store after a consultation and I love it. I have oily skin that tends to break out, and I get great coverage with Bare Minerals. My favorite part of the kit is that it comes with the two colors of foundation, so I can use the lighter color for winter and the darker color for summer. Also, I was told that if the foundation is ever too light for my skin, I can mix in some of the warmth to achieve the right shade. That is so much easier than the 2-3 different colors of liquid foundation I used to deal with! Review: Make-up for the pale!

I am a very pale person. I am part Irish and burn if the sun looks in my general direction. Many make-ups are not made for people quite as pale as I am nor do they look right. This blends in perfectly and is a great cover for the under the eye circles and makes me look well rested even if I'm not.
I am 26 so I don't have many wrinkles, but I love this product andI hope it says around for many more years to come.

I have tried the imposters of mineral makeup, but Bare Escentuals is the best. The get started kit is a great value and comes with full written instructions on each product as well as a "how to" DVD so you can't go wrong. I received as a bonus with this kit a product called Prime Time that is applied before the makeup. It is truly amazing and I can't imagine every applying makeup again without it. Another plus is that a little goes a long way and does provide the full coverage without feeling like you're wearing heavy makeup. I would definitely recommend this product and will order nothing else myself. Review: LOVE IT!!!

I love B.E., have worn it for years with no problems whatsoever. Please disregard any negative reviews as these people either have not applied it properly and/or have dry skin. This is NO reflection on the company! If your skin is dry you need to use a better moisturizer for your skin so the make up won;t look flaky and dry on your skin. If you do not know how to use it then follow the DVD! Must have make up!
