Review: beware the fatal "plop" plus, lack of experience with darker complexions

i wasn't sure which brow kit to order on Amazon.com, so i went into a BE store at the Stanford Mall in Palo Alto. Apparently, the reps were not used to working with women who are darker complected. thus, i was "avoided" for about 5-10 mins. Finally when i was able to get a young salesgirl's attention, and asked which one i should buy, she pointed to a table loaded with the brow kits and said "They're over there" and walked away. My boyfriend (who is white) became red in the face, and went outside the store.

An older sales rep came up the moment she saw him storming out, seeing i was getting visibly annoyed, and asked if she could help. i should have left, but figured, suffering ignorance is part of many cultures' heritage.

I was very pleased with the kit. and used it for about a month. I was in a rush one morning, and had placed the pot of brow color near the basin. My lab coat tail hit the pot as i was bending over, when i heard that "Plop". There was the brow color all in the sink. and it stuck to the sides very well. After salvaging what was left, i figured. ahh, what the heck. Being as clumsy as i am, i don't want to see this stuff hit my white carpet. So, to be on the safe side, i went to Mac Cosmetics, and never looked back. And MAC's service is absolutely unbeatable when it comes to working with other cultures.
