Review: A Dependable Lip Shine

A Dependable Lip Shine A year and a half ago I was working at my dead end job. My co-worker Jessica was putting on lip-gloss out of a green tube and I had never seen this type of lip-gloss before. After she put it on, her lips were extremely shiny and it looked truly nice. She noticed my interest in her gloss and asked me if I wanted to put some on. I was pretty hesitant because I had really chapped lips. Any girl knows that chapped lips and lip-gloss do not go well together. She reassured me that this kind of gloss is different; it is actually a shine and it soothes your lips. Giving into her persuasion I applied the shine and instantly I felt my lips get healthier! I looked in the mirror and my lips were just as shiny as Jessica's were. The next day I went out and bought my first tube. Mentha lip shine is a product of C.O Bigelow and sold at Bath and Body Works. It costs $7.50 a tube but it is well worth the buy! This shine helps to heal lips, and it is safe to use and lasts a long time! The shine has therapeutic ingredients to help lips feel smooth and not chapped. For a girl like me who will give up style for comfort, knowing I could ditch my old Chap Stick for this shine was a great relief. When applied to lips it will feel like a cooling sensation is created. It helps to moisturize lips and prevent pealing! The shine also is not sticky like other lip-glosses. Additionally it will last throughout the day because of its thick density. Furthermore, the lip shine is incredibly safe to use. I love the fact that it is not tested on animals. It shows how much the maker is aware of animal cruelty and how C.O Bigelow and Bath and Body Works stay away from mistreating animals. I love how the lip shine is 100% natural! There are basically no other products on the market that are 100% natural; it shows impressive commitment from C.O Bigelow to the consumer. Having an all natural product makes it so much more comfortable to use the lip shine. Although I do not use the product everyday, the lip shine lasted me over a year! The lip shine did not dry out or go bad! I have just had to throw out my first tube but the positive thing about that is that I got to pick out a new one! The lip shine is very universal coming in over 10 flavors! The lip-shine taste just like the tube says with added mentha. If someone does not know what mentha is, it is an ingredient that adds mint to help make breath fresh. All flavors will help to freshen ones breath but they will also taste like their name, which is so magnificent! The sales associate also suggested putting a dab on my tongue if I was ever in need of a quick fresh breath fix without gum!! My two favorite flavors are cinnimint and vanilla malt shake. C.O Bigelow comes out with different flavors at different times of the year also. For someone who likes a little pizzazz added to their lip shine and wants to add color C.O Bigelow does that too! With four different shades they can pick any color to match their complexion! I prefer not to have any color in my lip shine and Bath and Body Works has clear for people like me! There is also Ultra-Shine for people who like the extra shine. For people who do not like any shine at all there is the Balm Stick. I love that the product does not have that little kid sparkles mixed into it. I feel like the product is more adult just by knowing I will not have sparkles on my lips all day. Victoria Secret's lip-gloss is loaded with sparkles that do not come off easily. Victoria Secret's lip-gloss is also extremely sticky! Some people hate it when hair gets stuck to their lip-gloss; the lip shine unlike other lip-glosses does not create that annoying sticky consistency! Also, the lip shine will not rub off on the person you kiss to make a sticky mess! I appreciate being able to pick out real colors, unlike other brands with colors like Funky Purple. I can pick out a more natural pink that does not make it seem like I am stuck in the 80's. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs Chap Stick and wants that shine, and to anyone who just wants to have a great sticky free shine and fresh breath!
