The item that I received is NOT what is pictured. The item I received is a newer updated model with the temperature dial on the cord. The temperature dial is a bit tricky -- if can be turned up accidentally -- in my case it was turned up by accident and it singed two inches of hair. I expected the item that was pictured, which I did NOT receive. The item does work, just be careful to watch that dial.
