Review: Benefit won me over!

I had heard so many good things about Benefit's benetint, but I was still very skeptical because the product looked sooo red in the bottle. Let me tell you, it's everything they say it is. The color really is sheer, so you can put it on once to even out your complexion, or a few times if you really want to highlight your cheek bones. It works great as a lip stain, and will stay on for a decent amount of time. The color (on both lips and cheeks) isn't too bright at all. I use this product every day now, and I've definitely gotten comments on how "rosy" I've been looking lately. To top it off, the product really does smell like roses...one of my favorite scents! I wouldnt use this stuff if you have overly dry skin or are slow ;)
I have blemish prone, oily skin so putting this on to blend with fingertrips wasnt an issue. I am pale, and this isnt too much color for me. I put in three drops and blend on my checks and have no issues. Lips sometimes, but Ive found it doesnt last too long there. Its also not vibrant enought for a lipstick. I usually put some on, let dry, then add a thick stick balm (burts bees usually) and looks good. Overall, thumbs up.

I bought this after reading all of the fabulous reviews and am returning it to Sephora tomorrow. First I used it on my cheeks, following the directions to apply 3 dots and blend. I had to repeat this 3 times and still was not able to see much of a color on my cheeks. I then tried it out as a lip stain, and the color did show up, but was too pink for my taste. I didn't think I would have a problem with it being too light or too pink because I have a very light skin color and blue eyes, however I do have some redness in my face, and perhaps this was why the color was totally wrong for me. So this color is not "universally flattering" as you may have been lead to believe. Review: First Benefit product; very impressed.

This is the first Benefit product I've bought, and I did so based upon the strength of the reviews. Honestly, I was very impressed by Benetint. It's my first non-powder blush, and it was a breeze to use. It smells great, the color is perfect, and it's easy to use. It's a mite expensive, but I do believe it's worth it. I've found, however, that under my foundation, it tends to not be as noticeable, and over my foundation, it tends to wipe it away/not last as long. I'm still figuring out which would be best, but besides that, it's a pretty useful product. I tend to use it on my lips with Rosebud Salve, and it works well and looks cute. First off, I had never used a cheek/ lip stain before in my life, and this really got me started on a craze. I have since also bought Urban Decay's lip envy lip stain in "greedy". Anyways, I got this initially as a 2.5 ml sample versus the 12.5ml full size. I've been using it everyday for the past 2 weeks now and there's still so much sample left. I also bought the full size thinking I would run out of sample faster than I did, but I probably won't get to the full size for another month at least. Benetint smells just like roses, and it's great for a natural flush. I'm a huge fan of Nars blushes, but they're sometimes too shimmery for everyday wear (even though I love Orgasm like no other), so I wear Benetint when I don't feel like putting that much makeup on. I wear it under everything- under my moisturizer, primer, and foundation. I usually use 4 stripes instead of 3 b/c I'm not extremely pale, but you do have to blend, but it's quick and easy to apply. A lot of people complain about the brush, but I actually like it. It's easy to use and with rigorous blending looks super natural. This stuff doesn't last as a lip stain and the color is kind of faint, and it does tend to dry out my lips (even with lip gloss over it). Overall, this is one of my staple makeup items. I highly recommend it.
