Review: Not travel safe!

I have very fair skin and don't like wearing heavy makeup. I read about this in a magazine and decided to splurge on it after trying it in a department store. I found this color to work just right for me, and I was really happy with it. But there were cons, too: I did not like how my fingers would be stained too after applying it. Sponges/cotton don't work as well as fingers do. The rose fragrance is a little gross when you use it on your lips. Yick. And, I felt that this product was really too expensive.
Then during moving, it exploded in my suitcase and leaked out of a plastic baggie, damaging clothes and a pillow with stains that did not come out. The lid had cracked... it is made of very cheap plastic. If you buy this, I wouldn't recommend bringing this with you when you travel! Beware!
Review: Not up to the hype

I was really excited to get Benetint because of all the good things I've heard about it. When I finally got it, I put it on immediately but was disappointed because it didn't show up that well (I'm tan in the summer and yellow-toned in the winter - it's the Chinese!). Also, it stained my fingers , which faded during the day, but was still bothersome to look at in the first couple of hours. On the plus side, it was really easy to blend because it's liquid and I guess if I had layered on more, it would have shown up better. Also, it smells REALLY good, like a fresh bunch of roses! However, I decided to return this in favor of Tarte cheek stains because the nail-polish application just wasn't working for me. I like Tarte cheek stains better because they're a more solid, gel-like substance and I feel like they show up better. But that's just me! Benetint is good if you can get the hang of the application and don't mind stained fingers for a couple hours after! I only tried this as a cheek stain, since I wasn't looking for a lip stain. Review: One of my all-time favorites!

I love this blush - it's easy to use, gives good (but subtle) color, smells good, and blends well. I'm wearing it right now! I had previously only used powder blushes, but after running out I decided to give this a try. It's surprisingly blendable - sure, you have to move a little more quickly than with powders, but I have yet to end up with clown spots because I didn't do it correctly. You can also use it as lip color, but I find that it just makes my lips look chapped - maybe with some gloss it would look okay. This is one of my essentials - I can't get ready without it! Benefit is my favorite make-up line. Have used the Benetint for years. I like to use my own lip brush that is a bit fuller and holds more product, I line my lips with it, then fill them in a bit. Then add a few dots to the apples of my cheeks (over moisturizer, foundation but before setting powder). Takes some practice to get right as you have to blend and work fast before the stain sets. Once you have the technique down though, it is fabulous.
I haven't yet found another lip or cheek stain that can compete. If used carefully (ie not too much at once, just layer for more color) then I get this wonderful pinkish/rosy/soft red for my lips and a bit of blush for the cheeks that is natural, pretty, and best of all, has serious staying power.
On the lips, after I finish the lips, I outline with a pale'ish lip liner just to perfect the definition, then either put a moisturizing lipstick over it or just a bit of plumping gloss.
Do be aware that if you put too much on the lips at once, or don't use the right brush for you, it can bleed/feather, so experiment a bit with the product to get it right. A little patience will pay off with big rewards.
A little goes a long way, so it's a fair price for the amount of use I get out of one bottle. My lip application will last at least half the day, sometimes a bit longer.
Another wonderful product from a seriously cool company. If you want a pretty and sheer but potent lip or cheek stain, do give this one a try. Highly recommended!
Review: Perfect in every situation

I have a horrible habit of forgetting to put on lipstick, though I think it adds a lot to making my face look healthy and happy (I have notice I get more compliments on my smile when I wear lipstick).
This is a perfect solution since it not only works to stain your cheeks but also to stain your lips. No matter if I forget lipstick or not, at least I have a bit of color to help my lips (and smile) stand out.
TRIVIA: I read in Jane magazine (May 2007, copy at the nail salon) that this makeup was first created for strippers to paint their nipples pink!
