Product reviews of Benefit Cosmetics Powderflage Review: Great for eyes! Beauty product: 5 Stars
This is a really cool product, really thin powder for under the eyes and avoiding that cakey look.
Review: Great product Beauty product: 5 Stars
I have fair skin, dark circles and fine lines under my eyes. I use the Powderflage to set the concealer (it is not a concealer to use on its own).
This is how I use it: I first use my Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming Eye Cream, then with a SS194 or a SS224 Sigma brush I apply the Clinique line smoothing concealer (number 03), and finally with the SS224 Sigma brush I lightly brush the Powderflage under my eyes.
The Powderflage really sets the concelaer, it's a loose highlight powder, and difuses the fine lines under my eyes.
The size is ok, it is small, but I only use a little amount of it, and I'm sure it will last a long time. To use only a small amount of product, I didn't peel off the sticker that seals the powder in the container, I made a few holes in it, and this prevents the waste of product too.
I don't use the "flager" brush, I use my Sigma ones, but I kept it to include it in my makeup travel kit (small size brushes).
Review: Not so thrilled Beauty product: 1 Stars
Honestly this is super expensive and pretty useless. I have had mine for over a year because I rarely use it. It's a tiny amount, it doesn't camouflage a thing, and the brush is cheap and useless. I was so surprised to pull it out of the package and see the entire thing was the size of a gumball. Spend your money on traditional concealer!
Review: Nowhere Near As Good As I Had Read Beauty product: 2 Stars
I read a lot of rave reviews on this product, and watched a lot of reviews and tutorials on YouTube that spoke of how wonderful this product is. I hate to say that I don't agree with all the reviews; it just isn't that great for me.
I don't really have a huge problem with dark undereye circles. I have a small spot toward the corner of each eye that isn't terrible, but I use concealer just to even everything out and match my foundation on the rest of my face. I purchased the Benefit Erase Paste and the Powderflage, since most reviewers say this is the best combination to get maximum performance. I don't like the Erase Paste that much either, honestly. It's pretty thick, but workable if you put it on your hand before applying (to help warm it up a little before applying to your eye area). I use the Erase Paste first, then apply a bit of Powderflage to help set the concealer. Like many others have said, the brush that comes with this is pretty much useless. I ended up using a crease brush out of my Mary Kay brush set; it works better that way. But, all I can tell is that this Powderflage is nothing more than a setting powder. I cannot see any visible difference when using it, as far as brightening/diffusing/concealing is concerned. I use very little of the Powderflage, but it can still settle into fine lines...even though many people will tell you it won't.
I wouldn't buy this product again. If I need a concealer setting powder, I can buy one a whole lot cheap than this. I had really hoped this product was going to be as great as most people said, but for me it wasn't. I'm pretty disappointed in this product.
