Review: BUFFED AND SMOOTH! Use it dry!

Bliss Hot Salt Scrub is a wonderful scrubbing experience with excellent results. I used it dry, as recommended. I sat on the edge of the tub and started scrubbing. I had my husband scrub my back and it did heat up, at least it felt hot, perhaps from all the friction. When I did my legs and feet, I didn't feel the heat as much. Some parts of my body, chest and shoulders were really red, but not irritated. The redness went away about 1/2 hour. When I was done I was covered in salt, and the bathroom smelled like refreshing rosemary and eucalyptus. Then I stepped into the tub and turned on the water. The salt scrub rinsed off well, and since the salt dissolves in water, there wasn't any residual grit. Plus there was NO oily residue on me or the tub. Great clean rinse. So glad I don't have to clean the tub afterwards. The salt particles are big, irregular shaped, like kosher salt, and there is a good amount of salt to glycerin ratio. Some scrubs, I feel don't have enough grit, but this one does.

I also used this on my face. I don't think it's recommended for that, but my forehead needed exfoilating, badly. (flaky skin, fine lines) I use a small amount and scrubbed gently on over the t-zone, and my flaky skin on my forehead, and small tiny bumps around my nose and chin are gone. Two days later, my face is super smooth, and blemish free. The rest of my body is really smooth and soft. (My makeup goes on better, smoother, less caking, less makeup sitting in fine lines and on top of dead flaky skin, gross.)

On a side note, I used the bliss blood orange/white pepper body butter, afterwards. Love the scent, soft and clean. Body butter is high quality, goes on easy, not greasy. (I decided to try the salt scrub because of the body butter.)

Lastly, what I like about salt scrubs in general is that pathogenic bacteria can't live in salt, so I consider salt sterile. As opposed to sugar scrubs, where bacteria loves sugar, bacteria can grow and thrive. So I don't really like sugar scrubs for that reason, and avoid using them.

My recommendation, get it, enjoy it. It is worth the price!
