Product reviews of CHI Silk Infusion Silk Recontructing Complex Review: Better prices, other uses. Beauty product: 5 StarsThis is a great product, but it does smell very strongly of men's cologne (I personally like it, but if you want something that smells more feminine, try Biosilk - it's a very similar prodcut). A little bit really does go a long way, and it's important not to use too much otherwise it will leave a greasy residue. This is great for damaged hair, and to prevent heat damage from styling tools. I use this practically every day, and it helps prevent flyaways, and keeps my hair from going flat throughout the day.
I'd hold off on buying it here if you live near a Costco though, because they'll sometimes carry the 6.0 oz bottle for about $10. It's worth at least checking out to save on that extra $14, I think.
Also, you can mix a bit of this stuff with Isopropyl alcohol and use it as a pressing medium for loose pigments -I've tried it with MAC, L'Oreal HIP, and Coastal Scents - all shimmer though, so I don't know if it works as well with matte (just be sure not to use too much, or it'll take forever to dry). Even at full price, it's cheaper than the CS pressing medium, so I think it's worth a try.
Review: I will NEVER be without this product! Beauty product: 5 StarsI have very curly hair and this is the only product that makes it manageable. Whether I straighten it, or wear it curly (which I normally do), a nickel size amount of this product makes it shiny with NO frizz. I will go without food before I give up this product! LOL
Review: Touchably soft and shiny hair!!! Beauty product: 5 StarsI have been using this product for a little over a year and just love it. Before, my hair was like straw, so dry and just damaged from blowdrying and flat ironing. I decided to invest in a CHI flat iron (bought it from Amazon) and some CHI Silk Infusion (this I got at Ulta....buy 2 12oz. bottles get 1 free plus 20% off...awesome deal!!!) To this day I still have a new bottle, one that is almost gone and 1/2 of another one. My mother and I both use it so I can definitely say that this stuff lasts forever. My hair has never been healthier, people even comment on how nice and shiny it looks. Most of the time what I do now is that I wash my hair and let it air dry. Right when I am going to flat iron it I apply a dime size amount to the palm of my hand and distribute it all over my hair (mainly to the ends and midsection, not so much on the top of my hair b/c it'll make it greasy faster and flat) and iron in sections. This product is a bit on the pricey side but hey, most salon quality products are and if you want to have fabulous hair you have to invest a little bit of money. I love this Silk Infusion and will never stop using it. This is the first time in all my life that I love the way my hair looks and feels. Definitely recommend it!!!
Review: Excellent but Expensive Beauty product: 4 StarsExcellent product, great smell, and all you need is a tiny bit for it to work. Despite this, you barely get any for the price you pay with shipping and handling so I'm not sure whether it's worth it.
Review: Buy small Beauty product: 3 StarsI ordered the larger one and I will probably have it for the next 5 years. You only need to use a small amount(dime size). It makes my hair a little more smooth and shiny, but not a big difference. Very greasy in your hands, hard to get the greasy feeling off your hands with soap and water. But doesnt make your hair look greasy(as long as you dont use a lot). I probably wouldn't buy it again, quite pricey. Smells good.
