I am the white mother to a black daughter. I will say that at first I had no idea what to do with her hair, but as time has gone on I have gotten quite good at caring for my daughter's hair. Still, I am always on the look out for a great new product and this one is definately a winner. It has brought new life to my daughter's hair. The smell just makes me want to eat her up and she loves it too. I would highly, highly recommend this product. Review: i heart hair milk!

I'm black with thick kinky/curly hair. i've been using carols daughter products for about 7 years, right when i decided to get rid of the relaxer. i love hair milk, its a great moisturizer when creating twists and it maintains the style by keeping your hair from drying out. I've got a really thick head of hair and hair milk, khoret amen oil, and the healthy hair butter are essentials in my daily routine.
i don't know what that person was talking about with the smell, its not strong at all!

I purchased this for my 13 month old who still has her soft baby curly hair..a head full of it. It worked just OK. Half way through the day, it had lost it lusture and started to feel stiff..like I had put spritz on it. However, it did make it easier to manage after washing. Review: LOVE IT

MY 2 YEAR OLD HAS VERY THICK AND SOMETIMES HARD TO COMB HAIR. IT'S TOO LONG TO WEAR AS AN AFRO BUT NOT QUITE LONG ENOUGH IN ALL AREAS TO WEAR CORNROWS. I'VE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT ON HER HAIR FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS AND I LOVE IT. BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT, I WASN'T ABLE TO MAKE PONY TAILS ALL OVER EITHER B/C HER HAIR WAS REAL SHORT IN THE BACK, MIDDLE AREA. BUT NOW, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I CAN!! THE INSTANT I APPLY IT TO HER HAIR, IT SOFTENS AND COMBS VERY EASILY. IT SMELLS GOOD AND I CAN SKIP A DAY OR TWO IN BETWEEN COMBING HER HAIR IF I WANT. I TRIED IT ON MY HAIR, DIDN'T QUITE HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AND I'M GUESSING IT'S B/C I HAVE A PERM. BUT I THINK IT WORKS WONDERFULLY ON NON-PERMED HAIR. IT ONLY TAKES A LITTLE. I was hoping to get a great staple when I bought this product, but it was an automatic return. When I applied it to my hair, the smell of the hair milk was overwhelming. I don't want to walk around smelling like pine sol! It was a very lemony-piney scent. It was also really greasy and I only applied a little. This was my first time buying Carol's daughter and I wasn't impressed. I won't be buying again, not worth the money.
