Product reviews of Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (16 oz)

Review: Dermatologists Agree!!
Beauty product: 5 Stars

I've seen 2 different dermatologists, and they BOTH said to use Cetaphil. Every other person I know who has had to visit a dermatologist says their doctor also recommended Cetaphil. I have a rare (and extremely severe)form of Rosacea and have tried TONS of cleansers and I have to say that this cleanser is the BEST!!! Between my medication-induced dry skin and the sub-zero Chicago winter weather, my skin takes a beating. Normally I rinse the cleanser off, but on the worst days, I wipe it off with a soft cloth. My skin is soft and supple now, whereas before, it would flake like crazy. It looked like I had severe dandruff, until you realized all the flakes on my shirt were from my face! Just stay away from the bar cleansers. They are not so good. If you have oily skin, use the liquid cleanser for normal to oily skin.

Review: ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CLEANSER FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY, SOFT SKIN.
Beauty product: 5 Stars

THE BEST CLEANSER YOU WILL EVER USE. IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE TO DRY SKIN, YOU WILL LOVE THIS CLEANSER. YOU CAN USE IT ALL OVER YOUR FACE AND EYES, NO STINGING, NOTHING, EVEN AS A BODY WASH.

I HAVE EXTREMELY SENSITIVE SKIN, I WAS TOLD ABOUT THIS BY MY DERMATOLOGIST, AND HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR 7 YEARS NOW. MY SKIN IS BEAUTIFUL, AND WRINKLE FREE, I ALSO USE THE BODY LOTION.

BEATS ALL THE PRICEY MALL PRODUCTS BY FAR.

I LEARNED THE HARD WAY, PRICEY PRODUCTS ARE ALL A WASTE OF MONEY, IT'S WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU.

GIVE IT A TRY. THEY ALSO HAVE A FACIAL WASH FOR OILY SKIN, I HEAR IS GREAT ALSO

Review: I Finally Found The Right Product For My Skin
Beauty product: 5 Stars

I have dry, sensitive skin and the facial cleansers I used in the past only made my skin more dry and irritated. I've been using Cetaphil for 2 years now and it works wonderfully on my skin. It leaves my face feeling soft and fresh. You can use it with or without water, but I always use it with water. Unless you're using Cetaphil for your entire body, you don't need to slather on too much of the product on your face. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, it would be nice if Cetaphil also came in a travel-size bottle.

Review: Gentle Cleanser
Beauty product: 5 Stars

Despite the presence of two types of alcohol, this is a very gentle cleanser that works without soap. It can be used for various skin conditions (consult your doctor), but, as stated above, is also useful for those with seasonal allergies.

Cetaphil is non-alkaline, has no fragrance, and does not block pores ("non-comedogenic). The label states that it's excellent "for the delicate skin of babies" and that it "helps the skin retain moisture." The product may be used either with or without water; instruction for each are on the label. When used without water, one is to "remove excess with a soft cloth, leaving a thin film of Cetaphil...the emollient quality will leave the skin soft and moist." Two minor complaints: The label has no information about whether Cetaphil is tested on animals, and the company should offer a smaller size, both for portability and for those who want to sample the product.

Review: Could not live without it
Beauty product: 5 Stars

This is my first line of defense when it comes to skin care.

I have used this twice a day, morning and night, for a good three years and it has dramatically improved my complexion. I believe this product to be a major factor in the number of compliments I've had on the quality of my skin.

As for acne, I would likely still be a rather severe sufferer had I not been introduced to this product. That this cleanser has been able to [very nearly] banish my acne without any harsh chemicals or acids is worth the price of the seemingly expensive investment. It is worth every penny.

Contrary to an earlier review, I find that it works very well (and gently) for removing eye makeup because of the sensitive nature of the skin surrounding the eyes. Carefully apply a fairly generous amount of the product and use a q-tip with a twisting motion to lift it away.

I cannot say how well this works with foundations or concealers as, because of this product, I have no need for them.

I simply cannot recommend this highly enough.
