Review: Easy to Use, Nice Texture

DiorSkin Forever Compact is my old standby because it is so easy to use and has built-in sun protection. It is just a little expensive for everyday wear. So I use Watts mineral makeup when I'm not going anywhere special. DiorSkin picks up on the plush sponge very smoothly and glides onto the face, but not in a creamlike greasy way. More like a non-drying silky luscious powder. Can't describe it because it is not heavy and it's not light. If I'm in a hurry, I don't even put concealer under, just dab a little extra Dior under the eyes for coverage. I love a good foundation compact that way.
Tips:
-- Whether Dior or other brands, look for compacts with SPF just in case you're too rushed to slather on a separate SPF. Or it's summer and you don't want all that slime on your face. I've worn only this w/out sun lotion while sightseeing and to the beach and hadn't gotten sunburned yet. However, if this is your only sun protection, you have to put on a sufficient amount of product and not just a light dusting.
-- Don't let the salesperson tell you what color to buy. Listen to their suggestions and make your own decision based on your own preferences. I got mine at a Sephora in Paris; the man told me I was a #30 (medium) when I really should have gotten a #20 (lighter) after I thought about it. It was too late, I had already used it and was back in the States. Maybe he thought I needed a tan. Don't always assume they know everything. They don't know you as well as you do.
BTW, did not test for color transfer. On my oily skin, anything & everything can come off if I rub on it.
