The rollers heat and curl well but the rods that hold them in place get extremely hot, to the point I actually have to lift the roller off my scalp for relief. They don't stay that hot long, but it's enough to cause discomfort. In the future, I would look for rods that have a coating on them instead of no coating. Review: Beautiful Style & Shine

First: My hair is about 2 inches below my bra strap-I have fairly long hair.
This set works near perfectly to give my the look that I want. Nice body, beautiful, soft curls. I use TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray (One of Allures Greatest Products) with the rollers since I the rollers do get very warm.
As a tip to anyone who doesn't know how to use the two different sized rollers... larger rollers go on the top part of your head, and use smaller rollers on the sides.
The one downside, as many have mentioned is the clips. The 'smart clip' is meant to be better than the metal pins, but they truly aren't. The really nice thing about Conair is, if you purchase this, and not like the clips: call them. They shipped me both metal and plastic clips. Great customer service.
I would recommend this item.

I have tried several different sets of hot rollers recently, and I love these ones.
Reason #1: they have a velvety covering on the roll, which helps hold the hair in place while you're rolling it up. Some brands have a slick surface on the roller, and my hair slides right off.
Reason #2: they heat up fast. No waiting around for 10-15 minutes for the rollers to get hot. They heat up in just a few minutes and are plenty hot enough to get the job done. I tried one brand that said it heats up in 90 seconds. Maybe, but they were barely warm enough to create a curl.
Reason #3: plenty of curlers, all one size (large!). Other brands have at least 4 very small curlers that I never use. This set is perfect for someone with long hair and no bangs, therefore not needing the small curlers.
Reason #4: the pins are easy to use and don't leave marks in my hair like some brand's clips do.
I get lots of compliments on my hair when I use these curlers. I really love this set and I'm so glad I bought it!

Conair is the best for putting out this product. IONIC shine is optimum, the velvet flocking protective to the hair and just a handy set to have with all of the same sized rollers instead of having a bunch of loose rollers that you never use. I use every single roller and have enough every time. I love them but I do suggest for you to buy the "roller clamps" that hold the roller and hair in tight secure place. It does make a huge difference in the results! Review: Better than I expected.

I really like this product. I bought it hoping it would give me cute curly hair and it looks great and it so easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone.
