years ago, i got one as a gift. i had it for years and used it everyday, til it finally stopped working. everytime i walk into the housewares department of a department store or a beauty supply store i would check if they had it in stock, and they never did (only more expensive brands with cheap quality.) i finally found it! and for under $10, shipping included! this curling iron made me super fashion forward in school. i was the girl who always had awesome hair:)gets hotter than the typical coniar curling iron (must be the butane.) curls would hold, even without hairspray! best part is that i can multi-task cuz im not stranded in one place... curling my hair as i throw a load of laundry in the drier;) no more excuses about not having enough time to beautify:) Review: thermacell refills for this wonderful iron

I bought this for a trip to Paris back in 2009. I paid much less than the current price though. I love the size and cordless feature. It works fine with my short,coarse, straight hair. I don't curl my whole head. I only use it to straighten those annoying pieces of stick-out hair.
The reason I am posting this review today is that Home Depot has "Thermacell refills" on sale, $1.63 for one. It is located close to "Bird Feeders" section. The package cover is "Mosquito Repellent refills", they use the same size butane cartridge.
