I just got my dryer in the mail yesterday and decided to give it a whirl and it was great. It's comfortable, not too loud, and gives good heat even on the low setting. As an African American woman with thick, natural hair...it was up to the job. My hair was "set" after about an hour. Review: Works, but extremely loud

This hair dryer does what I need it to do, but I think the loud sound it makes when running is damaging to my hearing. The first time I used it, my ears were ringing for hours afterward. Product works, but highly recommend ear protection. Review: awesome

Conair hair dryer is efficient, gets warm and does dry hair nicely. The big drawback is the noise! I have never had a hair dryer this loud. The Conaire HH400 folds up nicely for storage.
