Review: softest hair ever!
Beauty product: 5 Stars

I have thick, not coarse, but not silky hair. I rarely blow dry my hair since it takes so long (maybe 7-10 minutes) with my old hair dryer, and I thought it made my hair coarser. I decided to give the ion thing a try though, and it was the best investment (in time) ever. It only takes two or three minutes on high speed, medium heat to dry an entire head of shoulder-length hair! (I don't blow until it's bone dry, just dry to the touch.) After the first time, my hair was super soft. After the second time, it got even softer and I thought it had more body too. I've only had it a week, so we'll see how it holds up, but the ions really do work. I'll probably never air dry again!

Review: to Ion or not to Ion!?....
Beauty product: 5 Stars

I am a guy. I do not wear my hair especially long nor especially short. It is of a texture(fine)that seems to demand I keep it at about 2 - 2 1/2" to be able to do anything with. So I blow dry it. And, yes!...I know what the BDF's are(blow dry frizzies). I actually picked up this hair dryer half on accident. I got tired of hauling the bathroom drier(a non ionized Conair)out to the garage to speed dry various little things I paint. So I grabbed this on the way out of the store...mostly due to it's 1875 watt rating and being full sized. I noticed the reference to Ions on the outside of the box but thought that part was probably a gimmick. So I just bought it on the merits of again, being full sized and 1875 watts. THIS brand new shiny blowdrier would STAY in the bathroom and I would keep the other one in my work space out in the garage.

Okay...so I used it for a couple of days and no kidding, I could really feel and see the difference. Blowdriers show no mercy on fine hair. I'm usually jealous of people with robust hair that seems to shake off bad things. Mine does not. On the other hand, if I am nice to it it is okay. Up till now I have never been able to escape some frizzies(not much as I am careful)and this drier makes a very noticeable difference. I may buy a back up! Just in case Conair gets taken over by unscrupulous warlords(?)

Some have complained about the lesser airflow...quick fix: pop open the intake cap and take OUT that fiber filter. NOT a company recommended modification...but the metal intake screen behind it is sufficient to keep hair out of the unit and that filter probably cuts air flow by about 15%. Just pop open the back once a week or so and clean it. I never keep the fiber filter in blowdriers and have never had one go bad by my taking it out. Takes about 5 seconds to do this and it makes a difference. Nice too that the motor is quieter...so many are used to louder motors that it is easy to think a quiet motor is less air but it really is not so. Especially if you take the fiber screen off the back of the drier.

We all know that on days when your hair comes out 'weird' it just kinda screws up your day. If you buy one of these driers you won't have to wear your 'Bad Hair Day' tee shirt nearly as often! If at all?

Review: works for me
Beauty product: 4 Stars

good price for perfectly functioning hair dryer - ions seem to control frizziness somewhat
