Review: Lost its "mojo"...

I bought this after falling in love with my friend's Cortex straightener. I loved it at first (though I wished it was be a bit wider), but after a few months of use, it just seemed to lose its spunk slowly. When I first got it, I couldn't believe how hot it got. That changed over time. It still works when I plug it in, just not NEARLY as hot as it used to get. I have very naturally curly/frizzy hair and need a super hot iron when I straighten it. I quickly replaced this, with another brand, and keep my Cortex at work just in case of frizz emergencies. That is all it is good for at this point. My friend still loves her Cortex that she had for years before I got mine though, so maybe I just got a bad apple.
