Review: Stick with Salicylic Acid for Oily Skin

The first thing that you notice about this product is the smell. It reminds me of a skunk. Very chemical. It stings a little as you put it on but that goes away fairly quickly and leaves a slightly cool, refreshing feeling. It leaves my face a little red but that too fades eventually. It takes off a fair amount of dirt and dead skin but compared to SA toners, it isn't as effective at controlling oil production or reducing the appearance of pores. I didn't really see an improvement in skin tone either.
Maybe if you have dry or normal skin this toner would work better, but for combination or oily skin, it just doesn't do the trick.

Hello, toney tonerson, I'd like to share with you my thoughts on DDF's glycolic 10 percent toner. It does not smell like flowers, or tea tree oil, or, whatever. It smells medicinal. It feels cold as it is applied. I've been using it for about a week, but for some reason last night when I used it, YOWSERS! It stung! What changed? Have I helped speed up the 28-day skin shedding process? I believe I have, and that means smiles for me. No redness occured, but if it does for you, then follow with a moisturizer that contains aloe, calendula, or chamomile. My skin looks and feels soooo smooth. I'd recommend it to a fellow oily goddess.
