For me, this is superior to other antiperspirant-deodorants, and it's weel-worth the cost. It isn't as costly as it seems (not that it's cheap), because a light application after a daily shower is all that is needed for 24 hour protection. I haven't yet seen what I would consider "lightening" under my arms, but there's not darkening, either, and that skin seems soft and healthy. There's absolutely no irritation, which is a problem for me. Even "natural" deodorants, especially the "crystal" give me rashes and irritation, and I have yet to buy a "drugstore" brand antiperspirant that truly works for perspiration and odor. Total NonScents truly works for both, without irritation or need for additional application during the day. It is completely unscented, but I find I don't need it to be fragranced, because there's no odor to "cover." I am continually amazed at how dry this keeps me, yet my underarm skin stays soft and clear.
