This is a pretty decent, no-frills kit. I purchased at Dicks Sporting Goods, so no shipping. You'll definitely get your money's worth if you pay $10-$12 total for it. My brother and father each bought one after using mine.
This is a compact cleaning kit, suitable for packing in a range bag, where it will see occasional use. This is not an armorer's kit that will be used dozens of times a day, every day. The rods and handle feel like they will outlast the included brushes, and the cost of replacing just the brushes would likely exceed the cost of replacing the entire kit.
For the price I paid, 10/10. Ranked against all other competing pistol cleaning kits, regardless of price, 7/10. It doesn't pretend to stack up against expensive, high-quality tools - it's a simple kit that gets the job done.
The kit contains a hollow aluminum handle with screw-on caps on each end, brass spinner rod, brass extension rod, brass patch holder, and 4 barrel brushes. Brushes are marked .22, .357 (also fits .38, .380 and 9mm), .40, .45 (also fits .44), so it covers the most popular pistol calibers. It doesn't have some of the less-popular calibers like .25, .32, or .50, and I'm sure there are a few other oddballs missing as well.
8" reach, cleans up to a 7" barrel without problems.
The caps for the handle each have rubber o-rings to provide a friction fit. There's not much room left in the handle - you could probably add a brush for one of the missing calibers, but you're not going to be storing a bunch of patches or tubes of lube and solvent unless you get rid of most of the brushes. It's nice and compact; fits in any range bag and most pistol cases.
Recommended for anyone with a handgun; highly recommended for anyone with handguns in several calibers.
