Review: Cute, but leaks when not upright

This atomizer looks very nice, it's easy to fill, and I think the spray dispenses just the right amount of fragrance. However, it leaks like crazy if you don't keep it perfectly upright. I purchased it to use for traveling when I didn't want to check bags. However, it leaks my perfume every time I fly with it; the plastic coating on the outside is now wrinkling/falling off and the red on the outside plastic case is not colorfast and comes off whenever it comes in contact with my perfume, dousing everything in my baggie with red (and staining covering my hands when I try to use it or anything in the baggie later!). I've tightened it as much as seems physically possible, so I don't think it's a problem with my not tightening the cap enough. I've even used plumbing tape around the top in an attempt to prevent the leaks, but it still happens every time I travel with it. At this point, I'm giving up and looking into purchasing something that's able to sit on it's side without leaking. I don't recommend this if you're looking for something to go in your travel bag.
That said, this would probably work fine in a purse with a pocket to hold it upright, as it only leaks if it's put on it's side. I don't have any problems with it leaking when it's on my shelf or in my purse in this way, so if you're only going to put it in your purse (and your purse generally sits upright), this is probably fine for you.
