Review: This is NOT pure lanolin.

This is a nice product. Sold as a hair conditioner. It has a mild, pleasant fragrance... similar to Murray's Pomade, but NOT with a tacky pomade texture like Murray's. When you scoop some out of the tub it feels like a silkier, smoother version of vaseline. When you rub it between your palms the heat makes it melt nicely and it's ready to apply.
I put some on my hair as a conditioner, and rubbed it into my hands as a moisturizer. (I know: not technically a "moisturizer" since it's wax and oil -not water- based, but it feels nice.)
I bought this thinking it would be pure lanolin. IT IS NOT.
The first ingredient is petrolatum (basically: vaseline) and the second ingredient is lanolin. There are a couple ingredients after that: fragrances and such.
Not a bad product but I gave a low star rating because I believe the label is deliberately deceitful. It says 100% lanolin in big letters and only in tiny print does it admit otherwise. Some people happen to believe that Vaseline is NOT GOOD for skin. If you agreed and bought this then you would be pretty mad.

This product is NOT 100% lanolin! The first ingredient listed is Petrolatum-a bi-product of petroleum! Also includes Paraffin. I recommend anyone who chooses healthful products to buy something else. Review: formula has been changed

I have been using DAX since I was 16 years old(I am now 52)I loved it then. It was the only hair product that would make my long, thick hair hold its curl and make it soft. I have noticed that the formula and consistency has changed. I'm not happy. Why mess with a good thing?
