I need to really scrub my foot because my corn builds up really fast. I used to own a Dr. Scholl's foot scrub but it does not come close to this foot smoother at all....this is by far the best foot scrub I have....it has the mild sandy paper texture yet not abrasive enough to damage your skin...it's good, it works and it is highly recommended.... I got this because it was reccomended as I was buying my Callus eliminator and callus remover lotion.
I owned a ped egg, and this is so much better. The egg really feels like its shredding skin, this does not it just gently polishes it away. I really like it
My only complaint is you need to do this over a towel or the tub or something, or you do end up with dead skin all over which is really kinda gross, but other wise I great and easy to clean.
I love it.

I bought this file for my calloused feet, hoping it would help me keep the callouses from building up and cracking. It seems to work really well. I got out of the shower, when my feet were soft and filed and filed. This file seems well made, and definitely files off the skin. It works so much better than the Ped Egg I had been using, and at least as well as the cement sidewalk outside, which I had used sometimes.
My only worry is that that with enough pressure the metal filing part will pop out of the plastic housing. At least this item has a lifetime guarantee.
ETA Dec 7, 2010: The plastic handle on this file did indeed break after nearly a year of three times weekly use. I searched the Internet for the maker, to ask for a replacement. In the end I emailed the Amazon seller, who quickly and kindly sent me a replacement. A+ to BEI - PHR Systems, Ltd. who took responsibility for the warranty, and B+ to the file itself. It still does a great job sanding off the calluses on my heels. I'd love to find the same file with metal housing, but as long as the warranty is honored I'll be happy with this purchase.
