The product performs extremely well. Apply in morning and at bedtime, and no one will ever know you had dark-circles (for real). You have to be consistent about using it. It's also safe, natural and inexpensive. It hydrates fine, but it's more about brightening than moisturizing or fighting wrinkles. A dab of sweet almond oil works if you need more moisture. I wear sunscreen over it during the day. Only trouble is that it's hard to find in stores and online.
