Being extremely disappointed with Estee Lauder's mascara, I decided that it was time for an upgrade. I'd heard that this mascara was good, and since I usually curl my eyelashes, I figured that it would be a good idea to buy waterproof. I was crushed when this mascara turned out to be mediocre -- and that's at best.
What was wrong with it? Let's see here. For starters, it couldn't hold a curl at gunpoint -- pretty surprising for waterproof mascara. It also did absolutely nothing to lengthen my medium-length lashes. Voluminizing wasn't that great either, unless your idea of "volume" is ugly clumps. So, basically, I was stuck with stubby lashes, all clumped together, for a couple of hours. Then, it all flaked off, leaving me with these beautiful black smears under my eyes. Lovely, right? The only thing it did right was color my eyelashes black.
Not only that, but this mascara is extremely overpriced. $23? Come on. Most of the cheap, $5 mascaras I've used from WalMart have worked better than this. I'd pay about $2 for this.
Basically, my eyelashes looked like I'd never applied mascara by noon, which actually wasn't that bad since it looked pretty crappy to start with. The verdict? NOT recommended.
