Review: Am replacing my Uragano with an Elchim 2001

After using my sister-in-laws Elchim 2001 both my mom and I were obsessed with how quickly our hair dried and how good it felt.
For Xmas, 3 years ago I decided to get us each Elchim dryers. Because I had heard that Ionic dryers were better for hair I went with Elchim's ionic option. Unfortunately, both my mom and I felt that it was not as amazing as my sister-in-law's Elchim 2001. The drytime was longer, and my hair seemed flatter. Now 3 years in, and I will admit a fair number of drops (falling off the counter) my blowdryer is on it's last legs. (I should clarify that the dropping and the dissatisfaction with the quality of the blowdry aren't related--I was disappointed long before the drops which happened 2 years into the product, and a move to a bathroom with less counterspace)
Secretly, I'm happy to be done with it. I just purchased the Elchim 2001 and a suction cupped Elchim holder (which I'm thinking will eliminate or reduce future drops.)
I'm also excited that the 2001 dryer is half the price.
