Review: Don't waste you money

My common sense told me that companies like Gillete would have put machines worth millions of dollars to get that sharp edge and a simple device can't do that.
I somehow convinced myself in a greed of getting more than 200 saves with just one blade and started calculating my savings for 1, 2, 3 years and so on. Oh such a dream.
But after getting this product I was so disappointed and wasted some of my brand new Mach 3 blades giving this product chance many times. It makes brand new mach 3 blade feel like it has been used 200 times already. May be this product works for other products but not atleast Mach 3.
Use your common sense people. Don't buy this product.
The merchant however was very prompt in giving the refund.

It is June 2010 right now.
I absolutely love it!!!
I have been sharpening a Mach 3 razor.
I have even replaced the batteries and it still works great.
It is the best money that I ever spent.

I have been using this product for the last 3 months, and it really does work! No it won't give you 200 shaves on one blade, but I do get 30 decent shave with one. I use the Mach 3 razor, and I usually get a bad shave after the third day. With save-a-blade, I can easily get 30 shaves that are pretty decent. I probably could go over 30 days, but I feel good with that number, and it seems like others do too! I have a feeling that most people did not actually read and follow the directions. You MUST wet the blade before sharpening, and hold the button down for 5 seconds. I have no question about buying another unit once this one dies. If you're not sure how you feel, I bought mine at my local Walgreen's so I could return it easily.The idea behind the device is simple and works. Review: It works!

I have used the Save A Blade for almost 2 years. I use Gillette Fusion blades and after the first 3 or 4 shaves use Save a Blade for every shave after that. I run it for about 10 seconds and get about 20-30 shaves per blade. Without using it I used to get about 6-8 shaves per blade at most.
I am not sure why others report poor results. Perhaps they are not inserting the blade into the device correctly, not running it for 10 seconds, or not rinsing the blade before and after each resharpening.
