Product reviews of Fallene Cotz SPF 58 Water Resistant UVB/UVA Sunscreen for Sensitive Skin, 2.5-Ounce Tube Review: Blocks the sun well but don't use with light colored clothing. Beauty product: 4 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
After using this product for several days, including a full sunny day at the Baltimore Zoo, I have come to appreciate the sun blocking properties of the Fallene Cotz sunblock. Even without reapplying, it kept my skin looking it's regular pale tone. UVB protection, then, gets high marks. UVA protection is harder to gauge. UVB rays cause sunburns. UVA rays age and damage skin -- think sun spots and skin cancer. The Fallene Cotz, with Zinc, has the right ingredient to block those nasty UVAs so I'll take packaging at its word.
The only problem with the product is the light coppery tint. The package says it dries clear. While it appeared to look clear on my face, it did leave noticeable residue on my gray shirt collar as well as on a napkin I used to wipe my mouth. Knowing that, I will just be careful to avoid applying it in situations where it may leave residue on my clothing.
Review: CJ Beauty product: 5 Stars
Zinc based sunscreen is the only thing that blocks UV rays, all others are just lotion. I was told by my skin doctor to get this kind. So read the labels to make sure they have zinc in them before buying. I love the stuff.
Review: Color-free sun fun Beauty product: 3 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
Three features made this product attractive to me: Its pediatric use and its water-resistant properties, but I especially liked the beige-colored cream, a factor that turned out to be good in theory but not in application.
Traditional sunscreens streak white - when both dry and wet - on my chidren's carmel-colored skin. Fallene Cotz SPF 58 blended smoothly into their coloring. Unfortunately, while transparent on their skin, the cream stained the clothing around their necks and upper arms, two areas where we applied the cream most generously. Repeated washings were required to remove the discoloration.
Overall, I liked this cream. Its thicker consistency, fragrance and-chemical-free ingredients made me feel as if the protection was safer and better. For swimming, where clothing is not an issue, this is an outstanding product. For everyday use, however, the greasy, white products may work better. Use both for safe sun fun.
Review: Contains Vitamin A Beauty product: 3 Stars
According to [...], this product contains vitamin A, which may speed the development of cancer. They also state that claims for such a high SPF are dubious. It's hard to find a natural but smooth sunscreen. I've been through so many its disgusting. Sadly this is a very expensive sunscreen to have issues like these. Supposedly the same suncreen with SPF 40, for the face is much better (no vitamin A).
Review: Cotz Coats and Is an Alternative to Mainstream Brands Beauty product: 4 Stars

My name is Jarucia and I'm a sunscreen-aholic.
Admittedly I'm not as pale as the fresh driven snow, but my skin is still as light as a white flesh nectarine.
More than 10 minutes in the sun and I feel as if I'm roasting. All that sunscreens do for me is ensure that I don't burn.
As a purveyor of all things SPF over 25 AND organic, I can't say I'd turn my nose up to Cotz. It rubs on smooth (though don't be too liberal), I like the tint (which stayed put on me), and left my skin feel comfortably cool the direct sunlight (which is always an added treat). I left some skin uncoated next to the Cotz coated skin and it was roasting.
I live in the PNW so the weather isn't muggy enough to interfere with absorption and drying, but in all fairness few if any sunscreens I've used in muggy climates ever get past being sticky.
As an alternative to many mainstream commercial brands, I liked the ingredient list for Cotz but wasn't crazy about it. This point is simply a personal choice for the skin guardian in each of us.
Also, as with most general sunscreens, I did not and would not apply this to my face. Face specific lotions should be used for that.
Overall, I liked this product and feel it delivers as promises. It is a tad on the pricey side, but with the way it spreads a little does go a long way.
