Review: Pretty good...But not the best

Meh. That's my reaction summed up in one word...
My hair is colored, wavy, and slightly on the drier side. I need a super thick and creamy conditioner. This didn't work that great on my hair...but I can see it working well if you're hair isn't super dry or processed.
It detangled and conditioned like any conditioner, nothing more/nothing less. It's just a little pricey for the results. I'd compare it to Fructis (but fructis is just a little heavier).

It seems no one can escape. There are times when even the best tressed need help with their hair. Sun, sand, and surf may leave you with many happy memories, but it can also leave hair looking like...well, let's not talk about it.
Perms, coloring, all intended to make us look better - let's face it, can sometimes leave hair dry and lusterless.
Time to get serious with Shea butter. Frederic Fekkai's Moisturizing Conditioner with Shea Butter is a rich, creamy healing potion for less than healthy locks. It truly hydrates, smells delicious, and nourishes damaged hair. If your hair is thick, it's also a marvelous detangler.
Only a small amount is needed - simply apply after shampooing and comb through. What a difference Fekkai makes!

This is one of the BEST conditioners I've ever used! Frederic Fekkai Shea Butter Conditioner makes your hair soft and de-tangles it perfectly. Sometimes I will mix it with some olive, coconut, sweet almond or jojoba oil and sit under a heated cap (not a dryer) for deep conditioning... like after a protein treatment. A little goes a long way- which is GREAT considering the price tag and the fact that I am a chronically broke college student- and I have thick, very dry & coarse, relaxed 4a/ 4b African-American hair! Review: Works wonders but certainly not the greatest . . .

As the gal who has broken the bank in trying every hair product on earth, I was very surprised at how well this conditioner worked at moisturizing, taming and separating my coarse curls. It's pretty rare when I don't have to slather on a leave in or another concoction or 2 after showering but this stuff does the job. And do you know why? It's the high quantity of Shea Butter used, plain and simple. A little ole vitamin rich ingredient which in and of itself is very inexpensive, so it's hard to justify the price of this conditioner. Considering I have very long and thick hair this doesn't go a long way for me, so shelling out over $20 bucks for the FF doesn't seem like I'm getting my money's worth. Other than price, the biggest issue I have with this product are the other ingredients; it's a looong list, most of which just seem unnecessary and certainly don't benefit the hair (why is fragrance so high on the list? I'd like to know if its artificial or not). And while I give major props for the addition of Silk, Almond and Wheat protein, the quantities are pretty low, sigh.
So if your independently wealthy by all means, use and purchase away. Otherwise, get yourself some pure organic Shea Butter, melt it and treat your hair, then wash it out and you will get the exact same results, trust me.

Buy this product now and get the shampoo too! This is the best conditioner and it smells great. I love the shea butter products from Fekkai. The shampoo and conditioner are very moisturizing, but not enough to weigh down my straight layered hair. I can't recommend this enough.
