Product reviews of For Pro Stainless Steel Wire Extractor Review: Minimal Help Beauty product: 3 Stars
I didn't really find the FelPro Steel Wire Extractor to be of much help in removing blackheads and it seemed to cut down into the skin painfully because of the thin wire frame. I'd give it no more than three stars.
Review: Thinnest comeodone extractor available Beauty product: 5 Stars
I bought this extractor and thought it worked really well. I didn't have to apply much pressure to the skin to get the clogged pore to empty. I didn't realize that it was so thin until I had to replace it when I misplaced mine! 5 shipments later and each comeodone extracting tool looking identical in shape but not in thickness to the original I couldn't find one that worked as well. I can't live without THIS one. The thicker ones you must use a lot of pressure causing swelling and sometimes infection. This body tool works very well and if you're aware that you might break the skin you'll use even less pressure with better results. I love this tool!
Review: Works, somewhat Beauty product: 3 Stars
The problem with this blackhead extractor is the end-wires; they cut into one's skin when using any type of pressure (which is typically necessary for this 'chore'--blackhead extracting).
On areas where 'gunk' is ready to come out of pores, just a slight pressure works fine, even a 'dragging' or 'scooping' motion (as someone describing another of these products descibed it) would work equally well. But on one's delicate facial skin--any type of pressure or exertion with this tool and the wire end pushes in, then 'bites' (i.e., cuts) the skin, frequently leaving bloody trails. :(
Not a pretty picture (or pretty skin) afterward, or even the day after sometimes.
While the tool IS effective at digging out, it tears up my skin. I gave it up.
Best to find something gentler.
