Review: When things survive the test of time.

So glad to find this. This particular brand of eyeliner is very smooth and velvety, works perfectly fine and doesn't break the bank - and I really know my cake eyeliner. Back when I was sixteen or seventeen you just weren't completely dressed without your black eyeliner. Even better were false eyelashes and a Garbo crease on your upper lid (which I applied with a thin line of pale eyeliner). In those days the only way to achieve the tiny feather lashes behind the natural ones on your lower lid - a la Twiggy - was with cake eyeliner on a brush flattened to a razor edge. But that doesn't mean cake eyeliner should be relegated to the distant past, just that unlike so many other dated makeup products, this one has never been replaced with anything better!
It enables you to be as versatile as your imagination allows. It won't rub off, won't flake off, and you can adjust the lightness and darkness with the amount of water on your brush - everything from a pale background wash to an intense dark line. Keeps you in control of the process and lets you get creative, and is much more forgiving than pencil when you have to undo a stroke. And best of all for women my age, it goes on eyelids more smoothly and with less drag than a pencil, which can do a sort of stutter-step if you're not careful.
Good product, good price.

I have been using this cake eyeliner for years and I love it. I haven't found another that is as good or priced as reasonably.
