Review: Best Conditioner Ever

My hair is very long, falls just past my waist, so a good conditioner is pretty important. I tried Jason organic conditioner but really needed something that would make my hair more manageable. I upgraded to salon grade products marketed as "organic" but they were way too expensive to buy over and over (10 ounces for $23!), and it wasn't all that great a conditioner anyway. So I tried making my own homemade conditioner from the internet recipes with mayonaisse, olive oil, honey, coconut oil, you name it. That ended up being quite messy and oily and gross, so I couldn't keep going with it. After that I was just desperate for a good conditioner that WORKED so I went into the local health food store and asked the owner which conditioner he would recommend. He called this Giovanni Magnetic "a really good conditioner". I was pleased with the ingredients so I bought it for $8. The smell IS a little on the perfume-y side which I wasn't sure if I liked or not when I smelled it at the store. When I used it in the shower though the smell was actually pleasant and fruity-ish. The conditioner worked AMAZING and worked through my hair easily unlike other conditioners that just glop on and sink in/smear around, this one actually glided through my hair and felt really good to use! I have used many conditioners before, everything from the cheap (Suave, Pantene Pro-V, Herbal Essence) to the natural (Jason, etc.) to the salon grade (Eufora), and I have to say that this Giovanni magnetic is the best conditioner I have ever tried! After I showered I was surprised that my hair felt smooth even though I had rinsed all the conditioner out thoroughly, and I was even more surprised that I could comb ALL THE WAY THROUGH MY HAIR directly afterwards! You have to realize this is not normal for me, I usually have to use a ton of detangler spray after washing my hair and let it set in before I can take a comb to my hair. This time, I could actually comb through my hair without a drop of detangler! Then when my hair dried it was light and super soft and beautiful. I can't believe I never knew about this conditioner before. It is black colored from the magnetite content and silky smooth. I have never been so 100% happy with a conditioner before. I am looking forward to trying out the shampoo in this brand.
