Here's some tips involving Clinique's HAPPY.
1) three simple words. SMELL BEFORE BUY. I'm not you and you're not me thus we may OR may not have the same opinions . . . .So go to your local department store and try it before you buy it (buy it here on Amazon of course). . .
2) Even though it clearly lists the fragrance ingredients in the product notes, I'm just going to put this out there - It's BOTH Fruity (thanks mostly to the Ruby Grapefruit scent) AND Flowery (thanks to the spring mimosa and the Hawaiian Wedding Flower)
3) I'd say this fragrance's scent strength is moderate . .Not too subtle and not too overpowering . . Just purrrfect.
4)No offense, but this isn't the most sophisticated of smells (though I don't mind . .I'm not a big fan of the "sophisticated" smells anyways . .they cost too much ;-))Thus,I'd say it's good for casual use and for anyone . .Adult OR Teen . . .
5) I'd say this perfume, on average, lasts about 8 hours . . . perfect for a day at work or school or whatever . . .
Review: Happy & Fresh

Just like the name of the product, Clinique's Happy is happy & fresh. It is a positive mind altering scent. I think the body lotion is great. Review: simple, sweet, and orangy, if that is what you like.

This perfume smells citrusy, more on the orange side, and a little sweet.
However, this perfume is too simple for me. For example, J'adore is a sophisticated perfume with a hint of citrus, but this perfume is just orangy and sweet, which I liked when I was a mid-teenager (14-18) but not now.
If you like a simple perfume that smells citrusy/orangy and a little sweet, then this is a good choice. If you'd rather have a sophisticated than a fun perfume, then I'd suggest J'adore, it is fresh, sophisticated, lady-like and with a hint of citrus.

Did not smell in any way similar to magazine samples. Almost no scent. Very weak!!! Would not purchase from this perfume source again. Review: Elegance!

Someone with exquisite taste gave me Happy To Be by Clinique for Women Eau de Parfum Spray 1.7 oz. What a lovely gift! This person could not have pleased me more!
The fragrance notes are Pear Natureprint, Hibiscus Flower, Bulgarian Rose, Cocoa Butter, Sandalwood and Sesame. It is slightly sweet, piercing, youthful, and alluring.
I highly recommend this marvelous fragrance.
