Heliocare, named a Best of Beauty Breakthrough by Allure magazine, is an oral dietary supplement with antioxidant properties which helps maintain the skin's ability to protect against sun related effects and aging. Currently Heliocare (Polypodium leucotomos extract) is the only agent known to provide systemic photoprotection, making it a major scientific breakthrough in sun protection. Although topical sunscreen formulations provide varied levels of protection against UVB and UVA radiation and protect from burning, they cannot completely stop all harmful UV rays from penetrating the skin. Heliocare works by sustaining the skin's natural ability to deal with sun (UV) related effects and aging. Polypodium leucotomos (PL) extract has been scientifically proven to provide antioxidant properties, to help maintain skin structure and immune response and provide daily maintenance against the UV photoaging process. Polypodium leucotomos - 240 mg - extract rich in phenols with photoimmunoprotective and antioxidant properties: -Maintains the skin's tolerance to the sun -Has an important antioxidant effect -Inhibits the infiltration of mast cells after chronic exposure -Protects elastin inhibiting the formation of MMPs -Protects the epidermal immune system by preserving the cells of Langerhans -Protects DNA by inhibiting the formation of thymine dimers Instructions For Use: For optimal results, take one capsule daily in the morning. If intense sunlight exposure is expected during the day, take an additional capsule at noon and combine with high SPF topical sunscreens.
