They don't get hot enough. I preheat for 20 minutes, leave them in for 30 minutes and its as if they were not in at all. I am very surprised, I will just toss them, they aren't worth the money shipping them back. Review: Really good rollers

I love these rollers. They heat up quickly, and the rollers are coated with this soft fuzzy like fabric so the hair does not slide off when you are curling and does not burn your fingers. It does a great job on my hair which is a bit fine, my daughters'which is normal and it also works great on her extensions. Review: Thrilled

I have used 'hot curlers' for over 30 years and was pleasantly surprised how much I like my new Hot Tools Professional. It gives me a softer more gentle curl, which I really prefer and although I was apprehensive about the flocking I have found that my hair wraps easier and quicker with the flocking. One thing I really love are the clips. I won't buy any curler set that doesn't come with the metal clips because none of the other types hold the curler in my hair. This set not only came with the metal clips but they work even better than any other metal clips I have ever had. Kudos!!!
I also appreciate the locking lid and the clip storage area built into the set. It makes it excellent for storing at home and especially for travel. I would not hesitate to buy this product again and will enthusiastically recommend it to others.

I am giving this product a low rating because the product is not worth the money it costs. I love the curlers, the clips, the design, everything about them looks pretty good until you try and use them. The posts the curlers sit on to be heated are too short. The entire curler does not get really hot. To add to that there is not enough wax inside the curlers to retain the heat. So what you get is a half hot curler that cools down too fast. If you have really thick hair I do not think you will like this set at all. My hair is medium so it works OK. The curls do not last long and in a few hours they droop right out. I bought these to replace a set I have had for over 30 years and the workmanship and quality cannot even come close to my older set. I am very disappointed.
