My baby had the nastiest diaper rash I'd ever seen, so bad it bled and nothing was working. The pediatriacian said to mix desitin and mylanta, but that didn't work either. I found out about calendula by reading message boards. It is the absolute best thing for diaper rash. It cleared up a rash that had been present for days. It's expensive, so we don't use it with every diaper change, but if we see one sign of rash we put this stuff on and it clears right up.
Description of Hyland's - Calendula Ointment
Hyland's Calendula Ointment is a topical preparation for minor cuts, scrapes and irritations. The ointment provides an extract of Calendula that is well-known for its healing power on the skin. It is great for burns, but shouldn't be used until the burn has completely cooled. For first aid for burns try Hyland's Calendula Oil or Hyland's Calendula Spray and follow the next day with Hyland's Calendula Ointment. Indications for Use: For the temporary symptomatic relief of skin irritations due to sunburn, windburn and chafing. Promotes healing of minor cuts and abrasions of the skin.
