The best adjective I have for this tool is "precision". It feels well-designed and well-manufactured, and does a tidy job on the nails. Although the cutters are not as large as ones specifically aimed at toe nails, the blades are sharp enough to easily cut toe nails too.
The nail file is also better-than-typical quality and includes two grades of filing serrations. The only downside is that occasionally the nail file is not opened all the way in which case it is "in the way." Once opened to the proper position, it's no problem at all.
Normally, I would never give a grooming device as a gift, but this thing has been my only exception. I've purchased several!
