I received this mirror a few weeks ago. The size is great and I love the 5x mirror. However, the bulb on the right side was only half illuminated. I looked in the manual to see if mentioned what I could do for this problem but it didn't say anything. I called Jerdon and told them the problem and they sent out another one immediately. I just received that one yesterday and the lights work great. If the lights keep working, I will definitely recommend! Review: Found at last!

I had searched every where to replace a mirror similar to this that I had for 15 years. Initally tempted to buy the name brand the bargain hunter in me opted for this model. And I am glad I did. This is a very good mirror. Altho priced lower than other comparable mirrors this model is excellent with more flexibility in folding the side mirrors out. I would recommend this product to everyone! I anxiously awaited the arrival of this mirror. You can not find this style anymore in stores. I bought it to replace a 20+ year old Vidal Sassoon mirror (same style). The lights kept burning out and they are hard to find so I thought it might be less expensive just to replace the whole mirror. I am glad I did. It meets all my expectations. The 4 different light settings are great. There is a slight distortion on the edges of the magnification side, but not enough for me to return the item. I just might order another. I read all the reviews on this product and purchased it with caution. I am so pleased with the mirror so far! The lighting is great and the size is perfect. The side mirrors stay in place well, and I really love all the different settings. I have not had any of the problems others listed with the lighting...you just have to hold the ON switch down for a couple seconds and then it shines very brightly. I have tried 3 different mirrors; the round and oval versions, but this is definitely my favorite. It reminds me of the kind my Grandma used growing up. Very happy with the product! Bought as a gift for a niece (hey, she specifically ASKED for one). Item absolutely DOA (won't power up, no power to aux plug on front either). Unfortunately, it's just past the 30-day-return mark for Amazon so I can't return. No mfr warranty either, so I can't return to them. Not happy with mfr or Amazon, at this point.
Yes, the mirrors work, but without the lights it's not all that useful.
EDIT to add: asked the spouse to take a look at it - he opened the case, found two wires which were not connected to anything and an electronic part rattling around in the bottom. Fixed now, but definitely not a quality item.
